I had no choice when I declared bankruptcy this year.  With medical costs that are five times what I make in a year there were no other options.  We sold half our belongings in a garage sale in August, which included Christmas decorations and kid’s toys that wouldn’t fit in our new apartment. They were so good about it, never complaining.

But I’m determined this will be a good Christmas, despite everything.  My children’s cousins live near Spokane, a 440 mile drive that in gas alone will cost $200.  I worked out what the priorities are, and decided $300 would make it a special season – minimal decorations, gifts and a trip to Spokane. Last summer I saw a car title loan store on Powell in Portland and thought about our minivan, paid for two years ago.  I didn’t go in that store, but online I Googled for “loans with a car title.” There I found the fast cash I need.  Car Title Loans in Salem is done entirely with an online application that takes 20 minutes to complete.  The next day the money was in my checking account.  

With advance money, I can plan ahead and buy items on sale and plan our trip to Spokane. After a tough year, I think we can manage a merry Christmas at the end of a tough year.
